CONCLUDING PRAYERS
Farewell Hymn (optional)
Stabat Mater, verses 19-20.

Soul of Christ (Anima Christi)
(optional)

Soul of Christ, sanctify me.
Body of Christ, save me.
Blood of Christ, inebriate me.
Water from the side of Christ, wash me.
Passion of Christ, strengthen me.
O good Jesus, hear me.
Within your wounds hide me.
Separated from you let me never be.
From the malignant enemy, defend me.
At the hour of death, call me.
And close to you bid me.
That with your saints I may be
Praising you, for all eternity.
Amen.

Sign of the Cross

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

This concludes the Stations of the Cross.

Farewell Hymn:
Stabat Mater, verses 19-20.

19. Christ, when Thou shalt call me hence,
Be Thy Mother my defence,
Be Thy cross my victory.

20. While my body here decays,
May my soul Thy goodness praise,
Safe in Paradise with Thee.

About the Concluding Prayers
No final prayer is required to end the Stations of the Cross, except for the Sign of the Cross. Prayer books suggest a variety of concluding prayers. The prayer presented here, "Soul of Christ", also known as "Anima Christi", is a good choice but not obligatory.
