In Nahuatl, the principal native language of Central Mexico, "ixeh" means a person who is intelligent and wise.

"Lady Ixeh", the logo for ixeh.net, is adapted from an illustration in the Historia Tolteca-Chichimeca, a native manuscript from early colonial Mexico.
